CCSVI and MS – National MS Society

Posted by Comments (26)

MS Learn Online is the National MS Society’s online educational webcast series. This video, recorded in early June, 2010, features Kate Milliken (a woman living with MS) and Jerry Wolinsky, MD. Dr. Wolinsky describes the hypothesis of chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) put forth by Dr. Paolo Zamboni from the University of Ferrara in Italy and what we need to know to better understand it. Studies being funded by the National MS Society and the MS Society of Canada are underway to carry out significant steps needed to confirm the phenomenon originally described by Dr. Zamboni and resolve the questions raised by him and others as to whether CCSVI is a cause of MS or related to MS in some other manner. Dr. Wolinsky and a team representing researchers from diverse specialties at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston are among those grantees These studies will also resolve conflicting data from previous research, such as how frequently CCSVI occurs in MS, and how often it occurs in people who do not have MS. If blockages are found, the findings will speed the way to determining whether therapeutic trials to correct them will be helpful in improving or altering MS disease process. Adding clarity to the relationship between CCSVI and MS is essential in assisting people with MS secure any treatment they may consider. Medical institutions and health care providers require research data confirming the validity, necessity and safety of any procedure

URGENT: IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE SUFFERS FROM MS, IT IS IMPORTANT TO RESEARCH AND INFORM OTHERS OF THE LIBERATION PROCEDURE AND A DISEASE CALLED CHRONIC CEREBROSPINAL VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY. THIS DISEASE SHOWS STRONG EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE TO CAUSE THE DESTRUCTIVE DISEASE KNOWN AS MS. THE MS COMMUNITY MUST GET THE WORD OUT VIA YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK. MYSPACE, GOOGLE, BLOGSPOT, SKYPE WHATEVER FORM OF MULTIMEDIA NETWORKING POSSIBLE. IF THE MASSES ARE MADE AWARE OF THIS CONDITION AND TREATMENT I BELIEVE MS CAN BE STOPPED. ALTHOUGH PERMANENT DAMAGE CANNOT BE REVERSED AT THIS TIME, MANY PEOPLE CAN BE SPARED A LIFE OF DISABLITY AND MANY OTHERS CAN BE GIVEN BACK FUNCTIONS THAT THEY THOUGHT MAY BE GONE FOREVER. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ANY MS SUFFERER CAN DO TOWARD ENDING THIS DARK AND HORRIBLE DISEASE. I find myself thinking of a line from Muse’s wonderful song “Apocalypse, Please”- DECLARE THIS AN EMERGENCY. LET’S SPREAD A SENSE OF URGENCY AND PULL US THROUGH LOVE, MARK

Multiple Sclerosis: BUILDING the North American CCSVI Society Part 2

www.kvmr.org THE link for Wed. 2 at 1200 Pacific TIME This is a community radio show. The programme is called Rabble Rousing. John Fletcher will be hosting the show. Special thanks to Susan ThePennygirl (youtube user) Great news this week in CCSVI research. Canada and Italy have allocated several million dollars toward CCSVI research. A group of cardiovascular specialists from over 47 countries have UNAMIMOUSLY come to the consensus view that CCSVI comes before MS CCSVI is congenital (we are born with it). I have a radio interview scheduled on Feb 10th at 1200 noon PACIFIC TIME the radio show is Rabble Rousing with John Fletcher This is huge on getting CCSVI some public exposure. Please check out Joan Beal’s radio interview it has been posted on several CCSVI facebook spots. Also, I had alluded in this video about a link between FIBRIN and stress. FIBRIN is present in the blood and it causes blood to thicken or have higher viscosity. During times of stress it is proven that FIBRIN production increases. With chronic cerebrospinal insufficiency the veins that drain deoxygenated blood from the brain become narrowed. I have often wondered why my MS attacks have been during very stressful times in my life. Well….If under stress my blood thickens and it makes it that much harder to drain because of CCSVI. This makes a lot of sense. Thank you everyone for your continued support and for getting the word out and standing up for what is right. Together WE WILL. Mark

MS Auto Immune vs CCSVI Treatment Simple Pictures by Berukoff

Posted by Comments (50)

Multiple Sclerosis is a terrible disease. The old theory by neurologists says it is caused by auto immune disorder damaging neurons’ myelin. A new theory by Dr. Zamboni shows a major correlation between restricted jugular neck veins and MS symptoms. One theory says suppress immune system with drugs. The other theory wants to open veins with an angioplasty called the Liberation treatment. Canada’s MS citizens are denied treatment by Health Canada and MS Society. Why this discrimination? Search Berukoff on YouTube for Mexico treatment.

The University of Buffalo team were intrigued by the work of Italian researcher Dr Paolo Zamboni who claims 90% of MS is caused by narrowed veins. He says the restricted drainage, visible on scans, injures the brain leading to MS. He has already widened the blockages in a handful of patients. The US team want to replicate his earlier work before treating patients. Experts welcomed the research saying it was important to confirm the basic science before evaluating any therapy. MS is a long-term inflammatory condition of the central nervous system which affects the transfer of messages from the nervous system to the rest of the body. The Buffalo team, led by Dr Robert Zivadinov, plan to recruit 1100 patients with MS and 600 other volunteers as controls who are either healthy or have neurological diseases other than MS. Using Doppler ultrasound, they will scan the patients to see if they can find any blockages within the

Should CCSVI treatment be supported?

Posted by admin Comments (0)

CCSVI is the most talked about topic in the field of Multiple Sclerosis. The debate about CCSVI and its relation with MS is still on. Even though, many clinical studies are in the progress and there is no clear data available on this, MS patients across the globe have started making a move on it. Treatment for CCSVI conditions is being offered at many locations and has reported success. CCSVI India is one such option that medical tourists are opting these days.

Below are some of the results of various researches conducted on CCSVI. This might be helpful in making a decision for supporting CCSVI treatment.

In 2008, Italian researcher Paulo Zamboni and his team found that MS is strongly associated with CCSVI (Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency), a condition in which there is a compromised blood flow in the veins of Central Nervous Systems. Please refer the original research report published in The Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and psychiatry.

Clinical finding from Buffalo University have stated that more than 55 per cent of people with MS showed signs of CCSVI. The percentage increased to 62.5 per cent when borderline cases were included in the analysis.

Many MS patients with CCSVI conditions have been successfully treated using Liberation Procedure. Please refer some patient testimonial from CCSVI treament India.

Some of the recent clinical findings contradict the results of Paulo Zamboni. These studies have found that not many Multiple Sclerosis patients have CCSVI conditions. Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Umea University, Sweden have concluded that “we found no evidence confirming the suggested vascular multiple sclerosis hypothesis”. Similarly, Department of Internal Medicine, American University of Beirut Medical Center has concluded, “EVS is an unlikely cause of MS since it is not present in most patients early in the disease and rarely involves more than one extracranial vein. It is likely to be a late secondary phenomenon.”

An article published in June 2010 issue of Neurology Today says that medical experts feel the need of further study before reaching any conclusion.

Liberation treatment is now being offered for Multiple Sclerosis treatment in India.

CCSVI – Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Surgery

Chronic Cerebro-Spinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI) Is A Syndrome Associated With A Blockage Restricting The Blood Flow From The Central Nervous System (CNS), Through The Cervical And Thorac Veins. In Layman’s Terms This Is When The Blood Supply From The Brain And Spine Has Trouble Returning To The Heart…

It Is Suggested That This Blockage Is Due To Stenosis Of The Jugular And Azygos Veins. Dr Paolo Zamboni, Identified And Labeled The CCSVI Syndrome And Has Linked It To To Multiple Sclerosis (MS)…

Chronic Cerebro-Spinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI)

Diagnosing CCSVI And It’s Subsequent Unblocking Seems To Be The Only Logical Way Forward. This Needs To Be Done Now. The Connection Of CCSVI And MS Can Be Worked Out In Time. MS Is A Degenerative Disease And Does Not Wait For Time. The Screening And Treatment Should Not Be Delayed Any More..

Fix The Known Blockage. If It Is Found, We Know It Shouldn’t Be There So Just Remove The Blockage. This Blockage Is Connected To MS Because There Is A High Level Found In MS Patients. Why Don’t We Just Test All 2.5 Million Of The MS Sufferers And Treat All With The Blockage? Who Knows? If We Go On The Current Evidence We Will Save Billions Of Dollars On Medications That Only Have A Slowing Down Effect..

Economic Impact Of A Simple MS Treatment

The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Market Has Estimated Revenues In Excess Of Eight Billion Dollars. The News Of This Simple But Revolutionary Approach Has The MS Drug Industry On Edge. The Financial Implications Imply Not Everyone Will Benefit, If Dr. Zamboni’s Breakthrough Proves To Be Key To Eradicating MS ..

Symptoms and Possible Consequences

CCSVI causes a high sensitivity and specifically separates healthy people from MS sufferers. Current studies suggest that a subtype of MS sufferers have CCSVI present. The the liberation process attempts to remove a blockage in blood vessels leading to the brain. These blockages cause a build up of iron in the brain, which trigger autoimmunity and degeneration of the nerve’s myelin sheath. Treatments for MS have been proposed and tested on a small groups of patients. Below are some known possible symptoms, and consequences of the treatment..

Hypoxia

Hypoxia is a pathological condition in where a region of the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply. A common result of hypoxia is fatigue and possible unconsciousness…

Iron Deposits Around the Cerebral Veins

These are iron deposits trapped in the brain. Every Surgical Procedure Has It’s Dangers, BUT… The sooner patients can be diagnosed and treated for CCSVI, the more functions the surgeons will be able to reserve, and the less change of damage imbalanced blood flow can cause the brain…

The Liberation Technique/Treatment

An experimental procedure known as the ‘The Liberation Treatment’ is a cutting-edge, scientific breakthrough made by Dr Paolo Zamboni of Italy, inspired by the love of his wife Elana. It is proposed that this process may help alleviate many of the symptoms associated with Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr Zamboni had a theory that there could be a condition where the veins draining from the brain were either malformed or blocked, and that it was an underlying cause of MS. He labeled it chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI). This unique view has rocked mainstream thinking to its core. Until this discovery MS was described as an autoimmune condition, where the immune system attacks myelin, a fatty substance coating the nerve cells.

Dr Zamboni noticed that 90% of MS patients had a blockage or malformation in the veins which drain the blood from the brain, that this leads to a dangerous build up of iron in the brain, causing the neurological symptoms associated with MS…
